My 8 year old and I ate breakfast after my newly turned 13 year old daughter had left for school.

Well Mum “she said” today is officially the day where you could be considered a grand-mother and your daughter is into another conditioned agement called “teenage”.

Adventing Decembers’ Event: The Traditional “Christmas on Santas’ Knee”

Hear Thee – There Thee

I hear someone say “go and sit on Santas’ knee you might win one of those motorized cars” – the child is retreating in distance from his mother. They disappear and I wonder if the motorised car placed in strategic alignment next to Santa is just an idea that if you get your photo taken you might win. Actually if you spend more than xamount of dollars then one is eligible to enter. No promises. Just another attraction for distraction for the parent to make the child do something he/she doesn’t feel sure about. Why don’t the adults give their attention to the child’s innate knowingness?

Christmas is an annual celebratory event that is almost here again! – wow 2007 has flowin. My kids know if they present a good report from school then they can enjoy gifts at Christmas time. A little intervention from mother’s nature adds incentive to the pending celebration. Call me what you will – whichever way this way works for me.

When my children were little toddlers they never wanted to go and sit on Santa’s knee. Santa was more than happy to see me, weird. I never used to push my children upon this big red man with white “fluff” all over his face. To me as a child he looked like a walking fire engine on red alert.Sharon as a child on Santa’s Lap

Knowing this as a child and having no choice in the matter I just had to go “sit” on Santa’s knee and get the “photo” for the “album”. I didn’t like it at all. I mean I didn’t know who this person was? I had been told as a child “don’t talk to strangers” hello! who is Santa? One red stranger spelt “danger”. Ofcourse, I had heard about him in stories – but reality is different – in reality I was exposed to the resonating energy of the matter – dressed in red!.
